Oh heck, new design?

Yeah, this whole thing has been rearranged now. Shipmind is here.
So, why the rearrangement? Well, it was kind of a silly thing. We started posting Shipmind on here, and we didn’t want blog posts in between the chapters and vice versa. That led to us not wanting to make non-Shipmind posts. The new layout separates that out and (maybe?) solves the problem.
It’s also an excuse to learn how Hugo works. The old site used Jekyll as its generator, and while Jekyll can give you this sort of flexibility, it’s harder to make work. We just never really found the energy. Not that converting the whole thing to Hugo is really that much less energy, really, but never underestimate the power of the new shiny when it comes to motivation.
This site’s never going to be something that’s updated particularly regularly. It has always been primarily a repository of random junk we’ve been working on and an infrequently-updated contact page, and so it shall remain. As of this writing, I think we’ve made less than 40 non-Shipmind posts ever. The stream-of-consciousness happenings for the whole system tend to end up on Terrana’s fedi rather than anywhere else. Still, maybe there’ll be a thing or two every now and then.
I think all the old links should still work. Hopefully. I mean, the site’s changed platform twice now. If you notice something broken, shoot us a message through any of the usual channels and hitting things with the hammer of fixing will occur.
I’m pretty sure some of the funky stuff we tried in individual posts might be broken. Hugo and Jekyll use completely different templating syntax. Haven’t had the will to go through everything and check yet, but soon maybe?
